T. rex: The Ultimate Predator: Exhibit Preparator
At the American Museum of Natural History, I fabricated full-scale models for the travelling exhibition T. rex: The Ultimate Predator, which opened in March 2019. The dinosaurs were created using clay sculpting, mold-making, and fiberglass casting techniques. This project required balancing the input from scientific curators and using creative license with reference photos of living animals.
With my work at the museum, I gained valuable insight into the application of my skill set in a non-profit setting. In my model making for T. Rex: The Ultimate Predator, I held myself to a greater standard of craftsmanship, knowing that the finished product would be seen by millions of annual visitors.
